Starbright Gymnastics, Fitness and Performing is owned by Janine Skorski. Janine was a competitive gymnast herself and has twenty years experience in teaching and coaching gymnastics. She has taught in several gymnastics schools in New Jersey and had previously owned Janine's Gymnastics in Newton for thirteen years. Janine is a professional member of USA Gymnastics and is also certified as a meet judge for USA Gymnastics. She is also safety certified by USA Gymnastics and you can be assured that the safety of our gymnasts is a top priority at Starbright.

      Janine has always believed that gymnastics can benefit all children. All gymnastics skills are taught in accordance with the standards set by USA Gymnastics. If your child wants to go on to cempetitive gymnastics, you can be sure that all skills will be taught to be done correctly. On the other hand, learning gymnastics can really help children if they choose to compete in other sports. They learn coordination and flexibility while improving on their strength, balance and stamina. Gymnastics is a great basic training for all sports and many of our previous students have gone on to excel in other sports and in cheerleading.

      We also believe that gymnastics should be enjoyable for each of our students. Classes are fun and all students will  get a chance to demonstrate their gymnastics skills in front of their families and friends several times a year.  Gymnasts are encouraged to be proud of their accomplishments and we have found that success in gymnastics usually carries over to success in school. Students learn self confidence and see that their efforts and dedication are rewarded in terms of individual and group accomplishments.
